The Academy Awards for Professional Development recognise and affirm the efforts of officers in the education service for their contributions to the professional development of officers in MOE. The Associate of the Academy of Singapore Teachers is conferred upon nominees in recognition of significant contributions toward the professional development of MOE staff beyond his/her own school/division.

The annual National Day Awards (NDA) is a means of recognising various forms of merit and service to the nation. The Commendation Medal is awarded to a person who has distinguished himself through commendable performance and conduct, or significant efficiency, competence and devotion to duty.

Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan presents the LEAP Award annually in recognition of teachers who have shown extraordinary and sustained efforts towards nurturing students and contributing to their holistic growth. Mdm Cheng Siew Kim was nominated by the school, and we would like to present her a Certificate of Commendation for her contributions.
