RVHS’ Tham Tuck Meng Scholarship
River Valley High School (RVHS) launched the Tham Tuck Meng Scholarship in 2013. The aim of this Scholarship is to encourage P6 students with outstanding achievements in the areas of academic, leadership and CCA to apply for entry to RVHS. Every year, up to ten Year 1 students will be awarded the Tham Tuck Meng Scholarship. 12 students from various West Zone Primary Schools have benefitted from the Tham Tuck Meng Scholarship since its inception.

National Pintar Kata Competition 2017
Congratulations to Iris Zulaikah Binte Mohd Rizal from 4C, Nurul Nadhirah Binte Muhammad Fizul from 4C, Rene Aaliyah Binte Masrudin from 5F and Nur Syahirah Binte Noor Muhammad from 5E for receiving consolation prizes in the National Pintar Kata Competition 2017.
National English Writing Competition 2017
Congratulations to our pupil Mohanty Stuti Prangnya from 6F for winning the 3rd prize in the National English Writing Competition 2017.
National Story-telling Competition “Leaders of Greatness”
National Story-telling Competition “Leaders of Greatness” aims to enhance our pupils’ oral proficiency in Chinese Language through telling stories of prominent figures of greatness. Our school representative Xie Wei Jia from 6 Brilliant attained the second position (Upper Primary Category) while Qu Ruiwen from 3 Dynamic attained the third position (Lower Primary Category) in the competition.
Scholastic English Read and Write Challenge.
Congratulations to our pupil Nicole Chai Harn Ru from 6 Energetic for winning the 1st prize in the Scholastic English Read and Write Challenge (P6 Category).
Babble and Speak Team Challenge 2017
Congratulations to Jonel Dalton from 4 Dynamic and Mahjuja binte Zahir of 5 Fascinating who excelled in the Babble and Speak Team Challenge 2017 held at Nanyang Girls’ High School. Jonel’s team emerged Champions winning the Gold Trophy while Mahjuja’s team won the Silver Trophy.
Spelling Bee Competition at Kent Ridge Secondary School
Our P4 Tamil pupils took part in the Spelling Bee Competition at Kent Ridge Secondary School on 11 Feb 2017. They were interviewed by MediaCorp for displaying great teamwork at the competition.
Performance at Huayi Chinese Festival of Arts
Our pupils who were Champions at last year National Group Story-telling Competition were invited by Huayi Chinese Festival of Arts to perform at the Esplanade.
