Maths Booster Programme

The lack of fluency in basic Math fact hinders a child’s subsequent progress and affect their performance in assessments. As such, the programme is designed to provide opportunities for the pupils who are still weak in the mastery of the mathematical facts to practice in an interesting and fun environment with the use of interactive iPad apps.  The programme also provide a platform for the subject teacher to address the learning gaps identified in their pupils.
During the session, pupils begin by practicing mathematical facts using flashcards. Thereafter, interactive iPad apps will be used to provide opportunity for pupils to master the Mathematical facts in a fun and interesting manner.  Pupils will then translate the practice into pen and paper to consolidate what they have mastered.We recognize that constant practice is important in the learning of Mathematics and we provide the additional support to selected pupils
 by monitoring and giving closer guidance to them.

Constant practice is important in the learning of Mathematics and thus we also have Maths Booster programme during the June holidays to provide additional support to our P6 pupils.

The aims are to:

1) familiarise and strengthen their Mathematical concepts;

2) build greater confidence to solve Mathematics questions; and

3) improve their speed and accuracy in problem solving

The P6 Maths Booster Programme is held during the June holidays and will be continued in Term 3 till PSLE.
